If there's one constant in baseball, if we're being pessimists, it's injuries to pitchers in our beloved game. As the game has evolved over time, it's an obstacle we're left to navigate - sometimes blindly.

Apart from fostering the youth and talent of an organization, the minor leagues are an enormous help in the event of these injuries (and other similar circumstances). Obviously, this extends much further than simply pitching depth as each lower level has a full working roster themselves.

I'm not telling you anything new, but it's important to remember that you can't always count on the 150 pegged starting pitchers each year to remain where they are - much less the top 100, 50, and sometimes less.

Fortunately, the vast majority of fantasy leagues don't have to scrape the barrel quite to the extent a major league organization has to in order to fill out a roster. It never hurts to plan ahead, though - or to try to be mindful of future talent that may help your fantasy team reach new heights.

Thus, we've put together a list of the top 200 Starting Pitchers for the remainder of the 2019 season.

Please bare in mind, however, that we've dug a tad deeper and have incorporated a slight dynasty-like approach - including a select number of pitchers who may not even reach the majors in 2019.

In a way, we traded off some of the replacement level (or worse) SPs -
whom should remain off all but the absolute deepest of rosters - for SPs who've shown flashes at the lower levels and have at least a chance of contributing to a fantasy team this season. Also, we attempted to factor in health and other notable circumstances into our rankings.

Some of these guys I truly wanted to rank higher, but I had to try to be realistic. There were several potential future studs who either won't play at all this season or will play very little - to the point that an average or slightly above average player may outrank them. I digress.
